Beware of Aftermarket "Lamborghini Supported"
Systems
(i.e... VAG, ST5 or Leonardo)
We have been working exclusively with Lamborghini's
for over 15 years, we don't even touch other
makes. We would like to think we know a little
something about them. And we do sell other
aftermarket diagnostic systems out of courtesy to
our customers that service other exotic makes. They
are great tools for Ferrari, Maseratis, Audi & VW,
... and although some claim to "support"
Lamborghini, it is impossible to ensure these
aftermarket systems will not cause problems. In
fact, ask any Authorized dealership and they will
confirm, connecting any aftermarket ACTIVE SCANNER
or and ELECTRONIC device that is not theirs WILL
void the car's warranty. Do you want to be liable to
the owner if this happens? Therefore, if you buy an
aftermarket system from us, we will require that you
sign a wavier that releases us from ALL liability,
if you attempt to connect it to a Lamborghini. No
"aftermarket" scanner will, work properly on the
Lamborghini's, especially the newer models 2002 and
up, and if they do connect, they are very limited to
rudimentary calibration and a sensor readings. There
are constant upgrades and changes to the calibration
functions with the LARAS/LDAS systems yet the
aftermarket industries are often based off of old
PRG files or tinkering with the ECUs from the OEM
units. If the company claims to have "dealer level
contracts" with Lamborghini, they are FALSE. There
are NO aftermarket firms that have any authorized
connections with or through Lamborghini. This is
exactly why you can NOT use an VW/AUDI - VAG system
on a Lamborghini, they are not the SAME! LDAS and
LARA are proprietary to Lamborghini - (LDAS even
stands for Lamborghini Data Acquisition System).
Those that have researched these aftermarket systems
discovered mapping data files that were decoded from
2004! 7 YEARS AGO! Think about this, there have been
7 clutch revisions since 2002 and countless ECU
changes, between the Gallardo and Murcielagos and
EACH have a different programming and diagnostic
data. Furthermore, no aftermarket system, can
properly balance the engines, perform complete eGear
purge procedures, adjust wing flaps or properly
resync lift systems, or even recalibrate a soft-top.
There are step by step programs and procedures for
these things and each model is different. They also
can not interface with the new 2009 + ECUs or
calibrate any of the other system ECUs - like the
Cluster functions, AC, ABS, Egear ECU, How about
removing the transport mode - nope... These systems
have their place and are well engineered, but
Lamborghini "supported"?? Do you want to take that
risk?? If you can't afford both, buy one or the
other, but don't gamble on the "supported" ones.
Invest in the system that was made for the make you
are working on.
